Mr. Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining the Government, Mr. Chan held a number of public service positions including member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Legal Aid Services Council.

Mr. Chan served as Secretary for Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government from July 2012 to January 2017. He was appointed Financial Secretary on 16 January, 2017.

Julia Leung, SBS, JP
Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Intermediaries
Securities and Futures Commission

Ms. Leung is a member of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). She is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director with responsibility for the Intermediaries Division, which comprises the Intermediaries Supervision and Licensing departments. That Division is primarily responsible for administering licensing requirements and conducting ongoing supervision of licensed corporations with a focus on their business conduct and financial soundness.

Prior to joining the SFC, Ms. Leung was the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury from August 2008 to December 2013 and worked with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) for 14 years.

Ms. Leung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and earned a master's degree from Columbia University in the City of New York. She authored a book on how Asia surmounted various financial crises.

Ms. Leung is a member of the Council of Advisers for Applied Research of the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary and Financial Research.

Ms. Leung chairs the SFC's Academic and Accreditation Advisory Committee and the Fintech Advisory Group. She also sits on the Advisory Committee, Investment Committee, Budget Committee, Executive Committee and the SFC (HKEC Listing) Committee.

Arthur Yuen, JP
Deputy Chief Executive
Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Arthur Yuen is in charge of the full range of banking policy, supervision, conduct, and enforcement issues at the HKMA. He joined the HKMA in 1996 as Head of Administration and has since taken up different responsibilities including research and liaison on China economic and market development issues before being appointed Head of Banking Supervision in 2000. He took up the position as Executive Director (Banking Development) in July 2004, Executive Director (Banking Supervision) in June 2005 and Executive Director (External) in July 2008. He was appointed to his present position on 1 January 2010.

Nicolas Aguzin
Chief Executive Officer

Nicolas Aguzin joined HKEX as Chief Executive Officer on 24 May 2021 from J.P. Morgan, where he was most recently Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan’s International Private Bank. Mr. Aguzin has been based in Hong Kong since 2012.

From 2013 to 2020, Mr. Aguzin was CEO, J.P. Morgan, Asia Pacific where he was responsible for all the firm’s business across 17 markets. Mr. Aguzin presided over some of the firm’s major expansion efforts during the period, including establishing itself in China as one of the few international financial institutions with a full range of services and capabilities; including a fully-owned locally incorporated commercial bank, a majority-owned securities company, an asset management company and a futures and options company. Concurrent with his Asia CEO role, Mr. Aguzin also ran J.P. Morgan’s Investment Banking division in Asia. During his tenure the bank rose to become one of the leading investment banks in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Aguzin joined J.P. Morgan in 1990 in Buenos Aires as a financial analyst. Between 1990 and 2005, he held a variety of roles in New York and Buenos Aires, and in 2005 he was appointed as CEO, Latin America. In 2008 and 2009, in addition to his responsibilities as CEO, Latin America and Head of Latin America Investment Banking, he served as Senior Country Officer for Brazil.

Mr. Aguzin holds a bachelor degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the US and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

Raymond Ang

Raymond joined Standard Chartered as Global Head of Affluent Clients, Private and Priority Banking in July 2021.

His banking career spans over 25 years having held various senior leadership positions in Asia with extensive regional and country responsibilities. He has deep experience in Private Banking and Wealth Management, servicing clients across the wealth continuum.

Raymond joined from UBS AG where he was Head of their North Asia, Japan and Indonesia Wealth Management businesses based out of Singapore. He held a number of senior roles during his 9 years at UBS, including Singapore Location Head, Head of Ultra High Networth South East Asia and Head of Sales Management for Asia Pacific.

Before joining UBS, Raymond was with the Carlyle Group focused on leveraged buyout situations in North Asia. Amongst other investments, he was instrumental in rebuilding and subsequently exiting a medium sized commercial bank in Taiwan. He began his career at Citibank NA in 1994 as a Global Management Associate.

Raymond is a graduate and alumni of the Harvard Business School and Indiana University School of Business. He has worked and lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.

Ella began her career in London, in publishing, licensing international translation rights to Asia. She has a First Class degree in Japanese from the University of Edinburgh. He has broad investment expertise across consumer, education, food safety, industrial, and technology sectors.

Prior to joining Mercer, she was with Lion Global Investors in the Business Development team. Leah has more than 15 years of experience in business development and client servicing.

Michael Dennis, Managing Director, is Head of Alternatives Strategy & Capital Markets in Asia-Pacific. Mr. Dennis is responsible for leading BlackRock Alternative Investors' (BAI) strategy and leading BlackRock Capital Markets (BCM) in the region. Mr. Dennis is a member of the BAI Executive Committee and a member of the APAC Executive Committee.

Mr. Dennis is responsible for BlackRock's alternatives business in the region including across Infrastructure, Credit, Real Estate, Hedge Funds and Private Equity. He is responsible for setting direction in the region and partnering with clients to drive a holistic view of alternatives.

Having been part of the team launching Capital Markets in EMEA and Asia-Pacific, Mr. Dennis works to build deep relationships with leading clients, corporates, investments banks and financial sponsors in the APAC region. Gao Hao (Tony) is the Director of Global Family Business Research Center and an Associate Director of Research Center for Green Finance Development at Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance.

Gao is a member of Global Future Council/Expert Network of World Economic Forum, a council member of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, a China Committee Member and Public Policy Chair of STEP, and a board member and research fellow of China Enterprise Reform and Development Society. Gao serves as a co-editor-in-chief of Wealth Management Journal, and the chief editor of Family Governance Series and Family Wealth Series.

Gao has published 16 books pertinent to family business and wealth management, as well as 180+ academic papers, policy papers and magazine columns. He co-authored the first China family office case and the first Asian private banking case in Harvard Business School Case Collection, as well as world leading family cases. He created the first Private Banking Master-degree course in China.

Recognized as one of China’s leading experts concerning family business and family office, Gao advises/serves on the boards of some of the largest family businesses and foundations, including several Fortune 500 Companies and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Ofer has over three decades of experience in technology and design.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2009, Ofer was a technologist with UBS in London, where he designed and built sales and trading platforms for the Equities Derivatives business. Before that, he was a solution architect for an online exchange for reinsurance contracts, developed mobile operating systems, raised an artificial intelligence chatbot, and was a principal consultant on human interaction design and advanced technologies.

Sumit Indwar

Sumit leads our Hong Kong SAR Financial Regulation Group. He advises on all aspects of Hong Kong financial services legislation and regulation. He advises on the full range of regulatory issues including licensing, ongoing conduct of business issues, regulatory change implementation, product categorisation, governance within financial institutions, market misconduct, AML and ESG. Sumit covers all sectors of the Hong Kong financial market (including under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, the Banking Ordinance, the Insurance Ordinance and the Money Lenders Ordinance). Sumit’s client base includes global and regional investment banks, asset managers, market makers, insurers, private equity houses and FinTech companies.

Sumit also provides support to the firm’s transactional teams on the regulatory aspects of M&A, corporate finance and banking transactions, including margin loans.

Sumit is heavily involved with industry bodies in the region. Mario Knoepfel

Mario is the Head of Sustainable Investing Advisory for Asia-Pacific. In his role, Mario advises private wealth clients and family offices on sustainability aspects, helping them to incorporate personal values in investment portfolios across asset classes, investing with social and environmental impact through innovative public and private markets solutions and driving education and awareness efforts in the region.

Working for UBS Wealth Management since 2001, Mario moved to Hong Kong in early 2013 to establish the Hong Kong presence of the UBS Optimus Foundation, a professional grant-making foundation that helps UBS clients in funding and managing projects benefitting underprivileged children around the world.

Prior, he worked for UBS Wealth Management in different positions in Zurich and Moscow with a strong focus on advising the bank's ultra-high-net-worth clients and developing this client segment strategically.

Mario is a frequent speaker on conferences and featured regularly in media in the region, sharing latest views and trends on sustainable investments.

He is a member of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's working group on Green and Sustainable Banking. Mario holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration with a Major in Banking and Finance from Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland.

Karen Koh

Karen Koh is a Hong Kong based broadcast media professional and familiar face and voice to many viewers and listeners in Asia. Her background is in television news and current affairs, and she has anchored and reported for BBC World, CNBC Asia, CNN International, STAR TV, Thomson Reuters and WSJ Digital. She’s also a regular co-host on RTHK Radio 3’s flagship current affairs show “Backchat” and produces and hosts a weekly show on gender issues called “The Agender Café”.

In the course of her 20+ years of international experience she has interviewed a range of people from heads of state to corporate and non-profit leaders.

Through her company, Intermedia, Karen conducts media and presentation skills training for corporate, public and education sector clients. She has designed and taught courses for the Hong Kong Police, the ICAC, and companies in sectors ranging from financial services, luxury goods, real estate, insurance and hotels. She has also trained text and print journalists from Thomson Reuters and WSJ in live TV and video package skills.

Karen also frequently MC’s and moderates a variety of events, including the Asian Financial Forum, MarketingPulse Conference, RTHK’s “Operation Santa Claus” opening and closing ceremonies, the Melon Science Fiction Conference and the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference. She also moderates private events for clients in the financial services, luxury and consulting sectors.

Karen serves on the Board of Directors of EngenderHealth, a U.S. based NGO working in the field of women and girls’ global sexual and reproductive health and rights. She is also a qualified yoga and standup paddle instructor.

Karen has lived in Sydney, Singapore, London and Hong Kong and is married with three sons.

Florence Kui

Florence is chief operating officer in Asia Pacific and deputy head of the North Asia region for the Private Wealth Management (PWM) business. She is a member of Asia Pacific Operational Risk Committee, and Consumer and Wealth Management Inclusion and Diversity Council and Steering Committee.

Previously, Florence was chief operating officer in Asia Pacific and region head of the Hong Kong market for PWM, where she worked closely with divisional leadership to devise and implement strategies for the business, while prioritizing the division’s activities and integrating them closely with the firm’s commercial objectives and infrastructure. Before that, Florence managed the Asia Ex-Japan Equities and Asian Special Situations Group product control teams within the Finance Division. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as a senior analyst and was named managing director in 2008.

Prior to joining the firm, Florence worked in Audit Practices at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young in Hong Kong and Canada.

Florence is a member of the Executive Committee of the Private Wealth Management Association in Hong Kong and is a qualified member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Florence earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Alberta.

Daniel Lee

Daniel Lee is the Head of Business & Listing for DBS Digital Exchange at DBS. Daniel has 24 years in the banking/ broker-dealer industry, and brings with him extensive experience in servicing intermediaries (broker-clients), digital exchanges, high frequency traders and market makers in the electronic trading space, and dealing with various regulators and exchanges across the region. He was also responsible for the bank’s ETF business. Daniel holds an MBA and also an LLM in Commercial Law. Daniel spends his time on competitive shooting as a hobby outside of work, and is also a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Herbert Lee, CFA

Herbert Lee is an Associate Partner at Bain & Company, based out of the Hong Kong office. He is one of the leaders in Greater China Financial Services practice.

Over the last 18+ years, Herbert focused in the financial service sector as a strategy consultant and regional head of projects. His work has included growth strategy, commercial due diligence, new business and product development and large-scale transformation. He has extensive experience in wealth and asset management, insurance and banking across Greater China and Asia Pacific.

Armed with over 20 years of diverse experience in the financial services industry, she is in charge of overseeing the development, selection and due diligence of wealth management products for distribution to personal, corporate and institutional customers. Her scope of responsibilities covers fixed income, retail margin trading, structured products, investment funds and asset management for the bank. She also supervises the provision of investment advisory service and sales support to frontline staff and investors.

Amy Lo is Co-Head of Wealth Management Asia Pacific, Head and Chief Executive of UBS Hong Kong, and a Group Managing Director at UBS.

Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA). PWMA is an industry association whose mission is to foster the growth and development of the private wealth management industry in Hong Kong.

She is also a Board Member of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), a member of the Banking Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, and a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Amy has over 30 years of experience in the private banking industry. Since joining UBS in 1995, she has held a number of senior management positions including Regional Head of UHNW in Asia. Today, the UHNW business is the leading wealth manager for UHNW individuals in the region.

A passionate supporter of youth education and technological innovation in Greater China, Amy is a member of The Court and the MBA Advisory Board at The University of Hong Kong, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In recognition of her contribution to the wealth management industry, Amy was named Private Banker of the Year in the Asian Private Banker Awards for Distinction 2020. She also received the Executive Award at the DHL/SCMP Business Awards 2018 for her efforts in building UBS as a corporate citizen in Hong Kong. Kevin Loo

Prior to joining New Vision Asset Management as a Head of Digital Asset Management, Kevin was the CIO, co-founder and director of a digital asset hedge fund since late 2017. He has close to 5 years within the digital asset space and an early Bitcoin investor in since 2016.

He has an established institutional track record of advising clients, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporates and private bank asset allocator advisors.

Kevin gained his deeply rooted investment knowledge from the traditional investment industry, he has held positions with the largest most recognized global asset management companies, including PIMCO, Fidelity International, BNP Paribas, both in London and Hong Kong. He has experience of debt capital markets, focused on Global Bonds, Emerging Market Debt and Asia Credit.

Previously, he has been a mentor to the Cyberport Incubator Fund and, both personally and through his partnerships, helped FinTech start-ups with strategic advisory, route-to-market and technology development reviews.

Dr. François Monnet

Dr. François Monnet was appointed Head of Private Banking North Asia effective August 2018, based in Hong Kong. Prior to that responsibility, Dr. Monnet ran the Private Banking franchise for Greater China.

In this role, Dr. Monnet works closely with the respective Market Group Heads and Country CEOs across Credit Suisse’s integrated bank to enhance its ability to capitalize on the synergies and business opportunities in Greater China, Korea and Japan, drive client interconnectivity across business divisions and markets to further build the bank’s strong client franchise in the region. In addition, Dr Monnet is the Chief Executive of Credit Suisse’s Hong Kong Branch.

Previously Dr. Monnet was the Chief Operating Officer for Private Banking Asia Pacific from April 2012. In this capacity, he assumed responsibility for all run-the-bank functions, investments in infrastructure and change management, risk and supervisory controls, pricing and strategy, including the build-up of Credit Suisse’s Private Banking digital capabilities across Asia, for which he received the 2015 Credit Suisse Group CEO Award for Innovation. Dr. Monnet was also named Asian Private Banker’s Private Banker of the Year for 2018 for his achievements in private banking.

Dr. Monnet joined Credit Suisse in 2007 as Head of Private Banking Southeast Asia and Australasia until 2010 when he assumed a new responsibility as Head of Ultra High Net Worth clients for Private Banking Southeast Asia, Australia and Japan. Prior to Credit Suisse, he managed the offshore core affluent client segment in Asia Pacific at UBS, with an additional focus on the Singapore domestic market. He started his banking career at UBS Zurich in Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Dr. Monnet is a graduate of University of Geneva, holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (Tufts/Harvard Universities) as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences from University of Geneva, Switzerland. He is the recipient of an Executive MBA from INSEAD. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Jo Murphy

Jo has been in Asia for almost 25 years, predominantly based in Hong Kong but with two valuable years spent in Singapore. She has held several senior Asia Pacific wide management positions, successfully leading sales, business development, marketing and client relationship management divisions for major institutions; and has both built and managed large and effective regionally located teams.

Jo was expatriated to Hong Kong, with Morgan Stanley (in early 1997) and has worked for several global institutions including HSBC Securities Services (previously Bank of Bermuda), Deutsche Asset Management and Triple A Partners. Jo’s roles have covered intermediary, buy and sell side as well as entrepreneurial groups, and now is Managing Director, Asia Pacific for the CAIA Association, the international leader in alternative investment education and provider of the CAIA Designation.

Henrik has more than 25 years of management consulting experience, addressing the most complex challenges facing financial services leaders. Over the past several years, his work has predominantly focused on digital and customer-led transformations and the reinvention of the insurance industry.

Before joining Bain’s Hong Kong team, Henrik worked in several of our other global offices, including Munich, Dusseldorf, Zurich and Los Angeles.

Henrik is a frequent speaker at financial services industry meetings. He has been quoted in leading publications like Financial Times, The Economist, Forbes.com and Business Times and has been interviewed on CNBC and Bloomberg.

Tan Siew Meng

Tan Siew Meng was appointed Regional Head of HSBC Private Banking, Asia Pacific, in January 2017. She leads a team of 1,400 dedicated professionals across the region to serve the wealth needs of business owners and their families.

Siew Meng has more than 30 years of banking experience in a wide variety of management roles across Asia, culminating in her being recognised as Asian Private Banker’s Private Banker of the Year in 2019.

Prior to her current position, Siew Meng was the Regional Head of Global Trade and Receivables Finance for HSBC in Asia-Pacific. In this role, she managed the Bank’s trade and supply chain franchise across the region, along with HSBC’s Regional Receivables Finance & Commodity and Structured Trade Finance businesses.

Siew Meng joined HSBC in April 2004 as Director, Corporate and Investment Banking, Singapore, and was subsequently promoted to Head of Commercial Banking for Singapore in 2006. In 2011, she was appointed CEO of HSBC Mauritius, followed by CEO of HSBC Thailand in 2013.

Before joining HSBC, Siew Meng spent more than five years at Citibank, N.A., and held senior roles at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and DBS Bank.

Fong Seng is also Dean’s Fellow at the Singapore Management University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business; a Board member of apVentures, a non-profit venture philanthropic organization; and a Distinguished Fellow (Wealth Management) of the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore.

Paul Thompson

Mr. Thompson has more than 20 years of experience across multiple roles at JP Morgan. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Head of Investments for Hong Kong and the Philippines where he lead a team responsible in providing portfolio management and advisory services for clients with investments across equities, fixed income, currencies and alternative assets. Prior to that, Mr. Thompson was the Team Leader for Sponsors, Philippines and Thailand markets. Through this role, he and his team advised clients on their wealth management needs, including lending, portfolio construction, investment management and the formulation of a comprehensive wealth plan that includes trust and estate planning for clients living in the Asia region.

Mr. Thompson joined J.P. Morgan in 2000 as an analyst. In 2002, he transitioned to the Proprietary Positioning Business. In 2004, he moved to the Private Bank as a portfolio analyst focusing on managing investment portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth individuals including trusts and foundations. He relocated to Hong Kong in 2007 to lead initiatives in Asia Business Strategy and the PB Asia Financial Sponsor Team.

Mr. Thompson received a B.A. from LaSalle University with a concentration in Marketing. He has served on the Asia Private Bank’s Advisory Council and represented Asia on the Global Advisory Council for the Private Bank. Mr. Thompson and his wife Maura currently reside in Hong Kong with their two children, Eve and Jack.

Wendy Tsang

Ms. Tsang was the Vice Chairman of Executive Committee of PWMA from 2016-2020 and a member of the PWMA Fintech Committee from 2018-2020. She also chaired the PWMA China Committee from 2018 to 2020 and is a co-chair of the PWMA China Committee in 2021.

Christine Williams

Ms. Christine Williams has over 15 years of proven working experience in Private Banking/ Wealth Management. She has been working directly with entrepreneurs, family offices and private equity funds from Asia to Europe with the focus in Greater China.

Christine worked in top tier banks, including UBS, JP Morgan, HSBC, DBS and BNP Paribas in Zurich and Hong Kong. Ivan Wong

Ivan Wong is the Co-head for North Asia of HSBC Global Private Banking. He also represents HSBC in the Executive Committee of Private Wealth Management Association in Hong Kong and is currently the Chairman of PWMA’s Next Generation Committee.

Mr. Wong joined HSBC in July 2002. Before moving to Private Banking in 2015, Mr. Wong had assumed different regional leadership roles in sales and structuring within Global Markets division in Asia Pacific.

Prior to HSBC, Mr. Wong spent a total of 16 years in different management roles in marketing, structuring, and trading of derivatives and structured products as well as corporate banking and finance, in Citigroup and Chase Manhattan Bank.

Mr. Wong holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Computer Studies from University of Hong Kong and an MBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also completed the Advanced Management Program with Harvard Business School. He has been qualified as a CFA since 1994.

Karmen Yeung

Isabel Zisselsberger

Isabel is a Partner in KPMG’s Consulting practice in Hong Kong. She has been with KPMG for 20 years and has experience in delivering banking business and technology consulting services in Europe and Asia. She runs the Strategy and Operations team for Financial Services in Hong Kong. She is also the client lead partner for a number of our banking clients and a leading member of the Wealth Advisory practice.

Across Wealth and Asset Management, she has supported private banks, boutiques and wealth/ asset managers with business and regulatory transformation covering the end to end client and relationship manager lifecycle, including topics such as onboarding, advisory framework, suitability, product and platform, cross-border, enterprise performance management, automation, talent management and reporting.
