Terms and Conditions


Please read and understand the following terms carefully. By submitting your registration you acknowledge that you agree to the Terms.

Fee:

  • All fees paid are non-refundable except when the event is cancelled. 100% Payment must be made prior to the event to secure your registration. We will only confirm your place once payment has been received.
  • If a delegate signs up to attend physically and eventually chooses to attend virtually, he/she still has to pay the full fare (i.e. HK$900 [Member category]; or HK$3,000 [Standard category]).
  • If a delegate signs up to attend the event virtually, but wishes to attend in-person in the end, he/she has to pay the full fare (i.e. HK$900 or HK$3,000, whichever is applicable).

Confirmation: All registrations are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline any registration, in which case, we will refund or not process any monies paid. You will receive a confirmation email after your registration has been approved.

Substitutions: Substitution is not allowed. The registration is in the name of the registrant only and it is not transferrable.

Non-attendance: Non-attendance of any event due to and not limited to illness, or for personal or professional reasons does not provide the right to refunds, or a transfer to another event.

Bad Weather: In case of bad weather, please refer to the announcement on the event website for the latest arrangement. Below are the typical arrangement under bad weather conditions.

  • If Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above remains in force at 7:00 a.m., the event will be postponed.
  • If Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is issued during the event, the event will be adjourned immediately.
  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is expected to be issued on the event day, the event may be postponed. Please refer to the announcement on the event website.

Bank Charges and Expenses: Any bank charges and/or expenses incurred as a result of bounced cheques and/or wire transfer will be borne by the participants.

Conference Programme: We reserves the right to cancel/alter scheduled dates, change the format and program, participants, content, location, timing of the event and substitute speakers.

OPT Hours: You may receive up to 6 OPT hours for full-day attendance, 3 OPT hours for morning attendance and 3 OPT hours for afternoon OPT hours. OPT hours will be awarded based on the sign-in/out record onsite (for physical attendance) or the attendance record of our virtual platform (for virtual attendance). You must attend the entire presentation sessions or panel discussions and pass the post-webinar quizzes to get OPT hours. There will be 2 quizzes for morning and afternoon sessions respectively. For each quiz, there will be 5 questions and 60% passing rate is required with 3 attempts. The quizzes will be sent by email AFTER the event and attendees will need to pass the quizzes within 3 business days.

# Attendees who have successfully attended the Regulatory Sessions will be accredited one(1) OPT hour on PWM-related ethics and compliance

Liability: Any liability incurred by us in connection with the Event will be limited to the refund of the Fee paid to the organizer. We are NOT responsible for covering accommodation, airfare, other travel or incidental costs incurred by the rescheduling or cancellation of the event.

Accuracy: While every effort is made to ensure that the information contained in this site is correct, we make no warranty express or implied as to the nature or accuracy of any such material to the extent permitted by applicable law. We may make changes to any content and information contained on this site at any time, without notice.

Rights in Materials: All copyrights and other rights (including all intellectual property rights) in materials provided to you during or for the purposes of any of our Events (including, without limitation, slides, brochures) are the property of the PWMA or of our speakers. You are entitled to use such materials only for your own personal use. You are not entitled to copy such materials for any commercial purposes.

Privacy: By submitting this registration, you consent that the information submitted in the form will be accessed by the event organizer, the event manager and event sponsors. Your personal data will be used for administering the event, updating your continuous professional development records and for notifying our offerings/activities. Credit card details provided will only be disclosed to the financial institutions for payment processing only.
