The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

Mr. Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining the Government, Mr. Chan held a number of public service positions including member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Legal Aid Services Council.

Mr. Chan served as Secretary for Development from July 2012 to January 2017. He has been Financial Secretary since 2017.

Nicolas Aguzin

Nicolas Aguzin joined HKEX as Chief Executive Officer on 24 May 2021 from J.P. Morgan, where he was most recently Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan’s International Private Bank. Mr. Aguzin has been based in Hong Kong since 2012.

From 2013 to 2020, Mr. Aguzin was CEO, J.P. Morgan, Asia Pacific where he was responsible for all the firm’s business across 17 markets. Mr. Aguzin presided over some of the firm’s major expansion efforts during the period, including establishing itself in China as one of the few international financial institutions with a full range of services and capabilities; including a fully-owned locally incorporated commercial bank, a majority-owned securities company, an asset management company and a futures and options company. Concurrent with his Asia CEO role, Mr. Aguzin also ran J.P. Morgan’s Investment Banking division in Asia. During his tenure the bank rose to become one of the leading investment banks in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Aguzin joined J.P. Morgan in 1990 in Buenos Aires as a financial analyst. Between 1990 and 2005, he held a variety of roles in New York and Buenos Aires, and in 2005 he was appointed as CEO, Latin America. In 2008 and 2009, in addition to his responsibilities as CEO, Latin America and Head of Latin America Investment Banking, he served as Senior Country Officer for Brazil.

Mr. Aguzin holds a bachelor degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the US and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

Eddie Yue, JP
Chief Executive
Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Mr. Eddie Yue was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) from 1 October 2019. He began his career as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government in 1986. He joined the HKMA upon its establishment in 1993 and was promoted to Division Head a year later. He was appointed Executive Director in 2001 and subsequently Deputy Chief Executive in 2007 before taking up his current position.

Mr. Yue has participated in numerous areas of the HKMA’s work. During his tenure as Deputy Chief Executive, he steered major policies and initiatives relating to reserves management, research, external affairs and market development. Mr. Yue was also actively involved in tackling major financial crises and played an instrumental role in enhancing the Linked Exchange Rate System.

Mr. Yue was educated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Harvard Business School.

Priscilla has been on the board of the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong since 2019 where she currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer. She is also Co-Chair of the Web3 and Blockchain Committee of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK). Priscilla regularly participates in races to raise awareness and money for organizations like WaterAid, the Angkor Hospital for Children, WISE (Women in Sports Empowered), the KELY support group, and The Nature Conservancy.

Alan Au , JP
Executive Director (Banking Conduct)
Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Alan Au is the Executive Director of the Banking Conduct Department of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). He is responsible for conduct supervision of banks in Hong Kong (including consumer protection and financial inclusion; sale of securities, investment, insurance and Mandatory Provident Fund products by banks; bank culture; bank licensing matters) as well as oversight of financial market infrastructures.

Mr. Au joined the HKMA in 2010 as Division Head of the Corporate Development Division. He also served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive of the HKMA and worked as Division Head in the Banking Supervision Department, before taking up the present position in 2017.

Prior to joining the HKMA, Mr. Au had served as an Administrative Officer in the HKSAR Government for over a decade, and had been posted to various offices and policy bureaux in the Government Secretariat including the Financial Secretary’s Private Office and Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau.

Dustin Ball
Parthenon Partner, Asia Pacific Financial Services Strategy Leader

Dustin is a Partner based in Hong Kong and leads the EY Parthenon Financial Services practice in Asia, as well as the FS Strategy and Transactions practice in Hong Kong. He focuses primarily on helping multinational financial services clients achieve their strategic objectives through both organic and inorganic means.

Prior to establishing the Financial Services practice in Greater China for EY Parthenon, Dustin held a number of senior positions with multinational insurance companies, including the Head of Strategy and M&A in Asia.

His industry experience also includes distribution and general management roles, including CEO of a joint venture in Vietnam.

Originally from the US, Dustin has been living in Asia for 20 years. He holds an MBA from New York University.

Michael Blake

Michael Blake is CEO Asia for Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), a family-owned private bank and specialist asset manager headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

In this capacity, Michael is responsible for the leadership and development of UBP’s wealth management business in Asia. He brings to the role a track record of leading cross-cultural teams during periods of growth and transformational change.

Michael joined UBP in 2016 upon its successful acquisition of Coutts International. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of Coutts International, with responsibility for leading its international wealth management business and overseeing its integration with UBP in Europe and Asia.

Michael has lived in Asia for much of the past two decades and is active in various international affairs forums. He read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University and studied Mandarin in Beijing.

Simon Bourke

Prior to joining Fireblocks, Simon was APAC Head of Liquidity Sales at HSBC Asset Management, also in Hong Kong.

Ada Chiu

Ada Chiu is the Chief Operating Officer, WM COO Office, Wealth Management at DBS Hong Kong. Her office oversees Governance & Control, KYC and Onboarding, Digital Strategy, Platform Development as well as Sales Support.

Ada was Head of Consumer Banking Operations at DBS HK before taking up her present position as Chief Operating Officer, WM COO office in 2021. Her experience spans across industries, functions and geographies. Ada started her career in advertising industry and managed clients including Coca-Cola, Prudential and Colgate-Palmolive. She was General Manager for TBWA HK before she joined HSBC HK and finally took up the position as Head of Direct Channels for RBWM at HSBC HK. Besides HK, Ada has worked in Australia and Taiwan.

Ada graduated from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Keith Choy

Mr. Choy is the Interim Head of the SFC’s Intermediaries Division which supervises over 3,000 financial intermediaries in Hong Kong including investment banks, securities dealers, futures brokers, financial advisers and asset managers. Mr. Choy oversees key supervision activities such as carrying out on-site inspections of firms for the purpose of identifying and managing risky firms and detecting misconduct. He has also been actively involved in the formulation and implementation of policies and regulations for the securities and futures industry.

Mr. Choy joined the SFC’s Enforcement Division in 1998 and was in charge of the Intermediaries Misconduct Team before he moved to Intermediaries Division in 2017. Prior to joining the SFC, Mr. Choy practised as a solicitor in Hong Kong.

Richard Chow

Frederick Chu

He is widely regarded as the leading AI figure in HK and a highly trusted consultant for some of the largest organizations and government agencies in the region. Prior to Prudential, he was the CEO of several tech startups and a Computer Science professor and the CIO at the City University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Chun is actively involved in community service and serves as an AI advisor to the Hong Kong Computer Society, an honorary Adjunct Professor at the City University of Hong Kong, and a senior advisor to various HKSAR Government bodies.

He has been recognized as Hong Kong’s top CIO and one of Greater China’s top five CIOs for his vision and innovative use technology. He has also received numerous international awards for his AI work.

He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has completed executive MBA training from Boston University.

Ben El-Baz

Jason Fong

Mr. Jason Fong was appointed as the Global Head of FamilyOfficeHK, Invest Hong Kong (“InvestHK”) in April 2023. InvestHK is the department of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and FamilyOfficeHK at InvestHK is responsible for promoting Hong Kong as the international hub and preferred choice of family offices.

Mr. Fong is a veteran in the banking and asset management industry with over 27 years of experiences before joining FamilyOfficeHK. He has held various senior positions with international financial institutions over his career and he has wide exposure in the Asia Pacific region including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan China, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan and Korea. Mr. Fong was re-located to China and based in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, during his terms with international banks to take up onshore leadership.

Mr. Fong spent his early years in United Kingdom and graduated from the University of Leeds. He is an expert in family business and family office. He served as a senior consultant to banking associations and government advisory bodies. Mr. Fong is also the member of HKTDC Financial Services Advisory Committee and Steering Committee member of Asian Financial Forum.

Mathieu Forcioli

Mathieu is currently Global Head and Asia Pacific Head of Alternatives, in our Global Private Banking and Wealth Division, based in Hong Kong. In this capacity, he oversees the offering of hedge funds, private equity funds, Real Estate funds and other private investment opportunities to HSBC’s private banking and wealth customers.

Prior to joining HSBC, Mathieu set-up the private markets offering of Antarctica Asset Management, a global platform allowing wealth managers to offer their clients access to a curated offering of hedge funds and private market funds.

Before that, Mathieu set up and grew the Asia operations of Moonfare, an online platform allowing private individuals to invest in Private equity funds.

In the earlier part of his career, Mathieu held various leadership roles at UBS, including leadership of the Wealth Management Private Markets Distribution team and the Institutional Investments group for APAC. Mathieu also held equity capital markets, structuring and derivatives positions in the investment banking divisions of UBS, Merrill Lynch and Calyon in London and Paris.

Mathieu holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics for Finance from Ecole Centrale Paris.

Karen Koh

Karen Koh is a broadcast media professional and familiar face and voice to viewers and listeners in Asia. Her background is in television news and current affairs, and she has anchored and reported for international media organisations including BBC World, CNBC Asia, CNNI, STAR TV, Thomson Reuters and WSJ Digital.

In the course of her 30+ years of experience she’s interviewed a range of people from heads of state and corporate leaders to explorers, chefs and musicians. She’s a regular co-host on RTHK Radio 3’s flagship current affairs show “Backchat” and produces and hosts a programme on gender, sexuality and society called “The Agender Café”.

Karen frequently moderates and MC’s corporate and charity events, and conducts media and presentation skills training for corporate, public and education sector clients.

She serves on the Board of Governors of Hong Kong’s historic Foreign Correspondents’ Club. Apart from media work she serves on the Board of Directors of US-based NGO EngenderHealth, and is also a certified yoga and standup paddle instructor.

Ronald S. Lee

Ron is head of Private Wealth Management in Asia Pacific. He is a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee, Asia Pacific Inclusion and Diversity Committee and the Global Inclusion and Diversity Committee.

Before assuming his current role in 2011, Ron was in the Investment Banking Division (IBD), where his responsibilities included head of the investment banking business in Hong Kong, head of the financial sponsors practice and co-head of the industrials group. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1998 in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division and joined IBD in 2001. He was named managing director in 2003 and partner in 2006.

Prior to joining the firm, Ron worked in the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Departments at JP Morgan in New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Ron earned a BA in History and Literature from Harvard College.

Thurston is a Research Analyst on the Greater China Equity Team with primary research responsibility for the Information Technology sector. He joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2021 with a broad background researching China/Taiwan/Korea Semiconductor and Technology Hardware companies. Before joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Thurston was an Analyst covering Greater China Semiconductor names at Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research (GIR) since 2019.

Prior to joining Goldman, Thurston covered the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sector in HSBC, Credit Suisse and Barclays.

He was instrumental in leading digital wealth advisory partnerships with banks and robo-advisors, helping the company attain the AMTD DigFin Best Investment Advisory Award in 2022. Earlier in his career, Kevin was a Digital Transformation Leader in McKinsey & Co driving large-scale business transformation and growth. Edwin Lim

Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA). PWMA is an industry association whose mission is to foster the growth and development of the private wealth management industry in Hong Kong.

She is also a Board Member of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), a member of the Banking Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and ad advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation.

Amy has over 30 years of experience in the private banking industry. She is also a Board Member of the UBS Optimus Foundation, the independent grant-making foundation that helps UBS clients improve the education and welfare of children globally.

In recognition of her contribution to the wealth management industry, Amy was named Private Banker of the Year in the Asian Private Banker Awards for Distinction 2020. She also received the Executive Award at the DHL/SCMP Business Awards 2018 for her efforts in building UBS as a corporate citizen in Hong Kong. Dr. Andrew Lo

Dr. Lo earned a doctorate in business from The University of Manchester where he developed a qualitative framework and a statistical model on trust in wealth management. Li previously co-founded the Platinum Whisky Investment Fund in 2014. At the time, it was the world’s first private equity fund investing in vintage and rare single malt whiskies. In 2019, the team continued its whisky ventures by acquiring Glenor Cask Company, which held a portfolio of over 1,000 whisky casks in Scotland. Yee Kim Tan
